Public Involvement/Participación del público
The approach to involve the community is multi-faceted. There will be three public information workshops during the study process. The workshops will be conducted in an open-house format where the public can visit with the project team and ask any questions they may have related to the project. The workshops are typically scheduled in the early evening to allow those heading home from work to stop by or to allow others to come after the dinner hour. The date and time of the workshops will be advertised locally and posted on this project website.
Draft elements of the narrative report will be posted to this dedicated project website so that anyone can learn about the study process and review and comment on the draft material during the study. All community members are encouraged to engage in the process and provide comments to the project team. Interested parties can also utilize the ‘Comment’ feature on this project website. Direct communication with the project managers via phone or email is also acceptable. The project managers for the ALP Update are listed in the ‘Contacts’ section of this website.
El método para involucrar a la comunidad es multifacético. Se llevarán a cabo tres talleres informativos para el público durante el proceso del estudio. Dichos talleres se realizarán en formato de jornada abierta, donde el público podrá conversar con los integrantes del equipo del proyecto y plantearles preguntas relacionadas al proyecto. Generalmente, los talleres se programarán en las últimas horas de la tarde a fin de brindar la oportunidad de acudir a quienes vayan de regreso a casa tras su jornada laboral o después de la hora de la cena. La fecha y horario de los talleres se anunciarán localmente y se publicarán en el sitio web de este proyecto.
Los elementos preliminares del informe descriptivo se publicarán en el sitio web de este proyecto para permitir que todo el público pueda informarse sobre el proceso del estudio, así como revisar y comentar sobre el material preliminar durante el estudio. Se invita a todos los miembros de la comunidad a participar en el proceso y a ofrecer comentarios a los integrantes del equipo del proyecto. Las partes interesadas también pueden utilizar la función “Comentario” en el sitio web de este proyecto. Asimismo, los invitamos a entablar comunicación directa con los administradores del proyecto por vía telefónica o a través de correo electrónico.
